Get $10 when you signup with Personal Capital. I’ve reviewed Personal Capital before and like their service. Right now I think they are the best online app available. In my opinion, they have the chance to really become the premiere online financial app. They are similar to Mint.com, but more focused on retirement planning and investing.
Personal Capital already has some unique features not found anywhere else:
- Financial Dashboard – Get a high level view of your income, expenses, and investments
- Universal Checkbook – From their iPhone or iPad app, deposit checks, or transfer money between accounts linked up within Personal Capital
- 401(k) Fee Analyzer – Find out how much your employer’s retirement plan is costing you.
Personal Capital is offering a promotion to entice new users. Through referrals of existing customers (such as myself), they are offering $10 for signing up. I will also get $10 as well from the transaction.

- Create an account with Personal Capital
- Link one or more accounts
Personal Capital announced at Finovate NYC 2012 their own 401(k). So if your employer doesn’t offer one, or the existing one they offer is costly, try to get your plan administrator to switch to their service. In addition, they added a neat feature within the Personal Capital service. 401(k) expenses matter a lot, and they are one of those somewhat hidden expenses. With the recent reporting changes required by the government, this information will become more transparent. Personal Capital added 401(k) Fee Analyzer to show how much your fees are over time.
